Inequality is neither good nor bad

To whom is unequal wealth bad? There's no "to whom." Of two people, both want more for themselves, not some sort of ratio between them. Egalitarianism is a mask for envy and hatred of success.

There's an old Russian joke about a magic lantern and a geni. The peasant rubs the lamp and the geni appears and offers him one wish. "But," he tells the peasant, "whatever I give you I will give twice as much to your neighbor." Thinking a moment, the peasant shouts gleefully, "Pluck out one of my eyes!"
