Then a large part is the increase in security forces needed post Va Tech ( and the Tucson shooting)and the increase in counseling center resouces as well due to the same cause. When you pack a lot of 18-22 year olds on a campus, a very few will go off the deep end and this has to be provided for. Now if you went to an all online university with no campus a much small security staff is needed, and no counseling as well since folks don't gather in one place, so counseling reverts to the regular societies processes or lack of them.
