Krugman's opinions

Reader comment on: Fool-Resistant?

Submitted by J.Johnson (United States), Apr 5, 2010 14:56

I am reluctant to take seriously anything that Krugman writes since he attrituted the enormous run up in crude oil prices a couple of years ago to supply and demand rather than market manipulation. He wrote nearly a dozen blog postings and columns to the subject, replete with graphs and escalating rhetoric. Nevertheless, by the time he finished, even many of his usually loyal following of sycophants had jumped ship and given up supporting his increasingly nonsensical arguments. The recent Nobel Prize for Obama demonstrated the supremecy of politics over accomplishments with the Nobel committee and it is becoming clear that this unfortunate trend did not start with Obama but can be traced back at least to Krugman.
