Clarification on USP

No company is required to be certfied by U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (the issuer of the USP).

Companies that follow USP standards are allowed to indicate so on their product labels; however, if a company labels its product as meeting USP standards, but do not follow USP standards, then the product is considered misbranded and is illegal. The FDA is responsible for investigating these matters.

There is a difference between a company or particular product following USP's standards and having actually been verified by USP. If a product has been verified by USP, it will display a green and gold circular seal on the front of the label exactly as indicated on our website. This mark ensures that the product has in fact been tested and been verified by USP.

I find it difficult to impossible to find USP verified products.
