Conflict of Interest?

Reader comment on: Chilling Effect

If anything, the conflict of interest is Ms. Weingarten's! Loeb's job is simply to maximize the returns for the people who've invested with him. Hers, with respect to the pension fund, should be exactly the same. By piling on matters of ideology to the management of the fund, she's added a non-return-maximizing concern. (By the way, if he liked the Red Sox more than the Yankees, should that too disqualify him?)

Randi Weingarten has got a conflict of interest as a fiduciary.
