Pornograhpy as something that is "unconventional" and "shatters traditional expectations"? Can a more slovenly and worn out perspective be found? Someone should send these people a letter telling them about the internet.

If the purpose of art is found in its shock value, how about taking on some of the current sacred cows, like feminists? Or, have a show of beautiful things. That would shatter their expectations.

Personally, I think NY politicials simply like porn, as can be confirmed by reading the news any day of the week. By dubbing it art, they can use tax payer money to fund their adolescent jollies.
