I've been waiting to read something sane about this. I think the ridiculous coverage of this (besides the bi-partisan alternating hypocrisy you pointed to) is because too many Americans really think we rule the world. I'm suprised nobody checked where Kerry & Obama were when the Portuguese government almost fell or when the former Czech Prime Minister was indicted.
