Government Football Coach Salaries

My son and daughter attended and graduated from college at the United States Air Force Academy. During their tenure at the Academy from 1999 to 2004, they told me that within the Academy Cadet Wing, the Cadets believed that the Academy Falcon football coach was the highest paid member of the Department of Defense. Cadet apocrypha or fact? I never attempted to validate their claims. However, given the Academy's (and the Air Force's) fanaticism over image and bravado, I could see this as being true.
