As an ex-New Yorker I follow the events on the Big Bagel very closely. I fled the burning city in 1979. And like most New Yorkers I was perversly proud of the rigors of living in the city. Who else could survive this horrific place? Only a tough, hardened New Yorker. I was mugged four times in 1978, on the Upper East side no less! Finally, it wore me down.

I still subscribe to the New Yorker and New York magazine and cheat The New York Times online. (I can't in conscience bring myself to renew this latterday Pravda.) But the self righteous Leftoid smugness of the place is enough to singe one's sensibilities. Such superior beings!

Di Blasio? Bring him on! New York deseves a Sandinista mayor! It's what they want. It's been too placid for too long. They deserve some Dinkins hell.

Bring back the windshield wipers too!!!
