Lobbists are far better paid than legislators. Why do so many folks from congress use the connections they got there to get a good lobbist job afterwords, because just like banks (i.e. that's were to rob), that's where the money is. If you could not use a stint in congress to make yourself better off, only the very rich would be in congress, others would find other ways of making themselves rich.
