Reports on Detroit suggest the opposite

Reader comment on: The Food Desert Myth

Apparently there is not one regular grocery store in the city of Detroit due to the state of its economy. Of course the folks that oppose putting Wal-Marts in are helping with the deserts as Wal-Mart even in its Neighborhood market form does carry produce. (Which is the issue at hand). Further frozen food is about as good.
