Thanks for this comment...very informative. I love the fact that you cite references and everything - so refreshing compared with the blather I find in the comments section of my local paper. I'm really out of my elelment here - got sucked in when I listened first to the "Giant Pool of Money" and then several subsequent broadcasts from TAM and Planet Money. Latest podcast last weekend led me to the propublica piece on Magnetar. Then the SEC issued its lawsuit. Then I watched the Bill Moyers interview with the authors of 13 bankers. I'm less than a novice in the realm of econ but so intrigued. Wish all Americans were as motivated to educate themselves as to what's going on instead of eating their party line.
