Inequality would not be eased following the writers advice: it would exaserbate the very extreme inequality we now have that has destroyed growth. Growing serfdom may be good for inexpensive servants, but it is bad for the vast majority. Blinkered economists looking for government jobs give the standard failed advice. Try something new for a change, e.g., Piketty....
