How far back to you go. Do the celtic parts of britian (scotland and wales) deserve reparations for the anglo saxon invasion? Do the Bretons deserve it for the invasion of the Franks? Do some slavic lands deserve it for the expansion of Germany east between 1000 and 1500? Do the remnant peoples left from before the nomadic invasions of the fertile cresent deserve it from the nomadic invaders. Obviously in the US case if African Americans deserve it the Native Americans deserve it more. Or looking at history as told by the sugar barons, should we put a global tax on cane sugar, to pay reparations to all the slaves that were killed off by the sugar plantation killing machine in the Caribbean? (The statistics show that there was a much better chance of a slave coming to the US surving to have descendents than one sent to the sugar plantations...)
