misleading comparison

All true regarding the opportunities available in a free society - but comparing Apple's sales with Syria's GDP is a misleading comparison which an intelligent blog like this should know better than to engage in. Sales figures are gross output whereas GDP is value-added, so you're comparing apples and oranges in the way that people not familiar with basic economics (e.g., Naomi Klein) like to bash capitalism and large multinational firms.
