As someone quick to criticize the use of term "elites," if ever there were an appropriate time to use it, this seems like the place. However, what matters most is the actions people take. I don't care who Axlerod talks with and dances with (a very uncomfortable image. . .) so long as he pushes for policies consistent with Obama's ideals. There is a long tradition of political enemies being personally close - Reagan/O'Neill, Scalia/Ginsburg etc.
