You can't blame inflation on commodities

The Economist commidities index is down 3.1 % year over year, food is down 5.6%. Nor can you blame oil which is down 13.8% Further corn is down from 7.50 in 2012 (due to the midwest drought) to 3.57 today.

Folks have been crying wolf on inflation since 2009 at least. None of the smart money sees it coming. If you believe the theory in the great wave, that big inflations are caused by rapid population growth, this is consistent, the world population growth rate is declining, thus the demand is not rising as fast.
