Reader comment on: Stoll in USA Today on Minimum Wage

Submitted by Adam Wildavsky (Singapore), Oct 25, 2014 02:22

You lost me in the closing paragraph of your USA Today op-ed:

Politicians and voters genuinely concerned with the plight of low-wage workers would be better off focusing on increasing their skills by improving education than on forcing employers to pay low-skill workers more than they are worth.

In fact no one can increase another's skills. Better we should resolve to get out of the way of our fellow citizen's own efforts, something that would be beneficial and is well within our power.
