Sheldon Silver is supposed to be Orthodox? Really? If so, I'm ashamed he had not been called out in the past by the NY Rabbinate.

As to the larger point - being Orthodox Jew does not , unfortunately, make one immune to the desires of having money and power at what ever cost. It should make one hesitant to do so, but unfortunately there are Orthodox Jews who are Religious (especially in the human-to-human realm).
