The problem with eternal foundations.

Reader comment on: Ford Foundation Tackles Inequality

The Ford foundation is an exhibit of the problem of foundations that do not terminate at a time certain. Gates and Buffett are aware of the problem and have set termination dates. I wonder what Henry Ford 1 would think of the foundation today. But I do think that 25 years after the founder's death is a good standard date for termination. (Keeps the leadership of the foundation at least somewhat knowledgeable about what the founder really wanted.)
