At least by increasing demand for the trash, following the principal that if you break it you pay for it it makes sense. Anyway little that the hedgies and their ilk do really adds to the economy, they are all vampires.

Vampire = bloodsucker = the long shadow of usury = problematic. First of all not all hedge fund mangers had a hand in the problem, what's with the collective punishment? Second of all why punish the hedge fund managers but not the real estate agents, mortgage brokers, others with more responsibility.
