Capitalism may be at a crossroads just as it was in the early 1930s. Can we continue with the unbridled (or barely bridled) version we now have in the USA? Should we go the route of western Europe with their "social democracies"? Or perhaps the masses will rise up as happened in Russia in 1917 (the Mensheviks, not the Bolsheviks) and seize power. Or maybe even worse, an uprising could lead to anarchy.

When one thinks about the past 80+ years, capitalism did just fine with all the "regulations" imposed by the New Deal. Why do some think everything has to "de-regulated" so we can have growth and freedom?
