Wait Times at Disney World

Reader comment on: What Disney Could Teach the TSA

I read with interest your column that ran in todays NY Post and thought I'd comment. I've often wondered how Disney figured out the wait times for their rides and last year I found that out. Disney uses a similar method to the TSA's in assessing the wait time on their lines. Last year at Disney World, when I got on line for one of their rides, a Disney cast member approached me handed me a plastic marker and asked me to hand it to a cast member when I finally arrived at the ride itself. Also, I have experienced a discrepancy in the posted wait times and actual wait times for some rides. Some wait times were less and some were way over the posted times. It's all hit and miss, but at least it's all for a more pleasant experience than waiting on line for the TSA at the airport.
