Sadly, I agree with Julie Satow. I'm a passionate (moderate) Democrat, and would be thrilled at a woman having a decent change to win the White House--it's about time. But how shameful that the first woman president would be someone who was married to a previous inhabitant of the White House. Indira Gandhi didn't exactly signal a breakthrough in women's rights in India. I guess it beats someone inheriting the position (would George W. Bush have become president if his father hadn't been president?), but not by much. Paging Elizabeth Warren...
