"you'll see how quickly he'll change his position once he gets in." Can someone translate that into Italian, since I'm confident it was said many times by "men in the street" about Mussolini as he drove to power in Italy.

That experiment with a "strong man" didn't work out so well for the Italian people (and for Mussolini, once the Italians saw what they had wrought, and they hung Mussolini in a public plaza).
