Mr. Stoll, there are no fine distinctions -- there is simply blatant hypocrisy. This is one of many instances where the left has fraudulently been guilty of a double standard for its own reasons -- or should we say, the ends justify the means. We have seen this for years.

Recently, we saw this game being played by Obama; though he tried to block a Bush appointment to the Supreme Court, while Obama was in the Senate -- both he and Schumer claimed that the Supreme Court vacancy should be made only by the next President. So what did Obama claim when a vacancy opened with less than 10 months left in his term? The Supreme Court should "rise above politics." So why are we surprised at the hypocrisy? It is normal for the left to pull these maneuvers, which is partly why the Trump campaign has gained traction.

The Google-Koch issue is terrific evidence of the compelling need to rid ourselves of the Washington refuse.
