Mexico will not much longer be a source of immigrants as its total fertility rate has fallen to 2.5 (children per woman) from 5.2 in 1966. This suggests that there will be less surplus folks in the rural areas (combined with the big move to the cities). In fact Mexico's tfr is very close to the US. So move the wall to the Mexico Guatamala/Belize border. (It will be a lot shorter). Last years issue was children from south of the Mexican border for example. In one sense complaining of Mexicans is sort of fighting the last war over.
