Congress is impotent; it was self-inflicted

in response to reader comment: Congress can't cut it

Congress has utterly failed to abide by the terms of the Constitution. Delegations to administrative agencies was bad, but delegation to the Fed was awful. The EPA litigates its own cases using sock puppet plaintiffs. Many of the basic laws are not authorized by the powers set out in Article I. All should be struck down. Making so-called "insider trading" a crime is ridiculous. It is a basic human right and necessity for individuals to have and to trade in information. Stock investors have been made into sheep. They are not protected by overweaning state control of stock bourses, especially by capricious claims of attorneys general. Let the buyer beware, and study up before he, she, or it buys.
