According to Politico, she pulled out. In other environmental news, what is futureofcapitalism's opinion of eliminating the cap on damages BP can pay?

The way I gather it works there is some kind of fund where they all pay in to cover liabilities over a certain amount -- kind of like the bank bailout tax, where the banks that survived get stuck paying for the the costs of the failed ones. It seems like a violation of the principle of no ex post facto law to change the rules on BP after the accident, but, in retrospect, it also seems like creating the cap on liabilities may have encouraged the reckless behavior.
