The editor could be right that the AEI guy is helping scrap the GOP bill. But given that the bill is just another huge steaming pile of shifting economic bad incentives, on the sinking ship of the American free-market economic system, I can't find any motivation to care if they pass it or not. (The economy is doing OK, but the market system seriously out of balance.) The bad tax system requires radical reform to destroy all the thousands of false economic incentives that distort our economy. I know, I know -- not realistic. But that doesn't change the fact that our system is a mess, and the GOP is not really helping with their mish-mash of "reforms".
