I have seen very few articles showing typical taxpayers. If you look at the numbers now a family of 4 (with kids under 17) would have to make over 59k to pay any income tax because of the 2000 tax credit per child. Also if you look just at taxable income the same amount pays about 13% less on non dividend and capital gains items and 20% married filing jointly. The media seem to be deathly afraid of the facts.
