How ironic the quotation of Robert Jackson about the Soviet-style "show me the man and I'll find you the crime" approach of prosecutors. Jackson had done exactly that to Andrew Mellon, Hoover's Secretary of the Treasury. The whole disgraceful story is told in Amity Shlaes's The Forgotten Man. Crocodile tears, Mr. Justice; crocodile tears.
