FBI as the source of the Porter story is most plausible. So-called reporters are merely the conduit for such leaks to become stories. Why would the Daily Mail be interested in some WH functionary that no one outside of DC heard of before last week? DM operates as scandal-outrage machine trolling for viewers--it's in the entertainment business. Porter's personal life is not news. His two divorces might be unfortunate, even ugly and highly contentious, but if someone's homosexuality shouldn't be considered a reason to deny security clearance (potential for extortion), then why should Porter's embarrassing marital history...
