The epithet to apply to Blankenship is carpetbagger. (I don't know if it is as bad an epithet in WV as in Va since it was never under reconstruction.

Also if you are rich enough to have a private plane or afford netjets, travel becomes far less of a hassle, move where the climate is good, and fly up to visit folks, or bring family to you.
