What is a "Threat"?

Reader comment on: Constitution Under 'Grave Threat'

Submitted by Robert Zadek (United States), Jun 2, 2018 20:24

I sort of miss the thrust of your blog. Here is my confusion. Many of us believe the 17th Amendment (to name just one of many Amendments) was a mistake, and would favor its repeal. Does that represent a "threat"? If not, how does your negative answer reconcile with your blog? To take this one step further, isn't any amendment a threat, insofar as it seeks to change the Constitution?

By the way, perhaps you will recall that you were a guest on my radio show a few years ago. I am still broadcasting, having a good time and meeting other real smart guests.
