From Hillary Clinton's interview with the Hollywood Reporter:
How can the left combat Fox News?
It's really a shame that all the people who support progressive politics and policies haven't understood that that's exactly the right question to ask. We do have some well-off people who support Democratic candidates, there's no doubt about that, but they've never bought a TV station. They've never gobbled up radio stations. They've never created newspapers in local communities to put out propaganda. That's all been done not just by Murdoch and Fox, but by Sinclair and by the Koch brothers and by so many others who have played a long game about how we really influence the thinking of Americans.

Zero population growth, long a goal of the environmentalist left, has finally been achieved under the Trump administration, I write in my column this week. Please check out the full column at the New York Sun (here) and Newsmax (here).

An untold, but significant story of President Trump's White House has been the sharp contrast between the National Economic Council and the National Security Council, I write in my column this week. Please check out the full column at the New Boston Post (here), the New York Sun (here), and Newsmax (here).

With the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign reportedly distributing family persuasion guides to help young socialists sway their relatives over the holidays, perhaps it's time for capitalists to prepare a response, I wrote in last week's column. Please check the full column out at Newsmax (here), the New Boston Post (here), and the New York Sun (here).

Our friends and former colleagues over at the Wall Street Journal editorial page, in the course of a characteristically sharp editorial ("A $900 Bottle of Hypocrisy") about the Democratic debate flap concerning Pete Buttigieg's wine cave fundraiser, refer to Michael Bloomberg. They say that he "is also running for the nomination and perhaps was watching at home while enjoying a $900 bottle."

Appended to the New York Times obituary of Paul Volcker, and published in the print corrections column of the December 17, 2019 New York Times:
Because of an editing error, an obituary on Dec. 10 about the former Federal Reserve Board chairman Paul A. Volcker misstated the equivalent in today's money of $89,500, his salary in 1987, his final year at the Federal Reserve. It is about $203,000, not $312,000.
What better demonstration than this correction can there be of the limits of a system of fiat currency, even as administered by widely respected public servants such as Volcker?

Senator Elizabeth Warren, busy running for president, has been skipping votes in the Senate. Maybe she should follow Bob Dole's 1996 example and resign from the Senate to devote herself full-time to the presidential campaign, I write in my column this week. Please check out the full column at the New York Sun (here), Reason (here), and Newsmax (here). This also got some nice pickup from Howie Carr in his Boston Herald column: "This phenomenon was first noted Monday by Ira Stoll of Reason magazine...." and in the New York Post ("Bay Stater: My Senator's Not Doing Her Job.")

Mark Zuckerberg's policing of political ads, or the lack of it, was the topic of my most recent column. Please check it out at the Las Vegas Review Journal (here), the New Boston Post (here), Newsmax (here), Reason (here), and the New York Sun (here). When the column gets picked up in five different places, usually it is a sign it was one of the better ones.
