The Post story is tacky as always (shocking!), but this response is pure drivel. Just for starters, while people surely have the right to enforce contracts, that doesn't automatically abrogate all other rights that might be in play, such as the right of media organizations to protect confidential sources. Your little analogy involving nonpayment of ad bills is pure nonsense. It's completely irrelevant.

Still, I was entertained by the notion that rich people, especially when they're pals with Ira Stoll, must always be right, and that criticizing them for overreaching in legal matters is tantamount to an attack on "capitalism."
