1) Those who broke the law to expose the warming "scientists" fudging (deceptions) the facts may be criminals. However, their "crime" certainly is of a lesser one than those individuals who falsely claim we are headed for disaster. Besides, who does the information belong to? The "research" was funded by tax dollars and is public property, the information is unclassified, and every citizen has a right to it under the Freedom of Information acts. I understand that some climate skeptics did request data, but the "researchers" conspired to withhold it.

Some believe that those individuals who hacked the computers and took the emails have the same more and legal status as a SWAT team that forcibly breaks into a house to rescue a kidnapping victim.
