A sermon on the American exception is a fine and righteous thing, but it's not what I want to hear when I'm sitting in the dentist's chair. Where are we if we're not in the dentist's chair today?

If my dentist starts singing the praises of "investment", I'm thinking he's trying to sell me on gold crowns when I can't even really afford porcelain.
