Guilt by association

Reader comment on: Bloomberg Versus Koch

Sorry but your argument against Bloomberg is spurious. You're right to a degree - they are both private and neither is required to report financials and so regardless of whether you agree with the Koch's or Bloomberg's politics, their political bent should not be used to force one to report over the other. But saying that the Koch' s illegal activites in the oil industry in Iran is the same thing as having a reporter on the ground is simply ridiculous.

And you may be right that libertarianism does not equal anarchism, but if the Kochs are the biggest funders of both Libertarianism and the Tea Party, then nothing else but the fact that the relationship exists will draw the ire of all rational observers. Guilt by association, where there is smoke there is fire, you pick your cliche. And to your point about the business affecting the ideology, they got their ideoology from their father, well before the sons started paying government officials in foreign lands.
