Point #3 is hopelessly naive, and flat out wrong. The left *never* has to worry about its Supreme Court nominees breaking ranks. We now have 30+ years of a Chief Justice whose vote in favor of liberty and against the power of the state is at best in doubt, or even worse, a difficult get (based on this week's decisions).
