Reader comment on: Wine Store Regulations

Submitted by Lyle (United States), Mar 2, 2016 17:44

In California grocery stores are permitted to sell hard liquor as well as beer and wine until midnight. (I think it is the same in several other western states). In Tx the groceries can sell beer and wine, but no hard liquor and not till noon on sundays, Hard liquor is available from 10am to 9 pm mon thru saturday but all liquor stores are closed on sunday. Of course there are still parts of Tx that are dry, although the county line liquor store is vanishing in Tx as more counties go wet. (You see the ruins of several at a number of county lines)
