President Obama tells the New York Times in an interview for this coming Sunday's New York Times magazine that his lesson learned from the first two years is that "you can't be neglecting of marketing and P.R." In other words, he had the policy right, he just didn't sell it well enough. As the Times article itself says, "The first refuge of any politician in trouble is that it's a communication problem, not a policy problem."
