So long as other countries continue their drilling, it doesn't seem like the prices will be affected greatly (at least not enough to overcome larger supply/demand dynamics). It would mean we become more dependent on foreign suppliers. If ever there were a time to institute a gas tax, something that those on the far right and far left can agree on (so long as it is revenue neutral), this is it.
