The issue is are the current crop of republicans any different. They will talk a good talk, but being in the majority is so attractive it overtakes all. In particular in 1994 they talked of term limits, but never got it thru, nor did the republican members apply the limits to themselves to show they really meant it. The democrats at least do what they say they do spend and spend. The republicans talk a good talk and then spend and spend also.
