I'm just not the kind of customer Citi wants anymore...Reader comment on: Citibank Raises Fees Submitted by Judi (United States), Sep 2, 2010 22:11 Shortly before the 'reforms' went through, the rates on both my Citi cards shot up to 19.99%. Thanks for the help, DC. I'd just as soon have the gov't stay out of my business because frankly I haven't seen any benefits from it. My credit score hovers around 800 and the accounts have been in place for a very long time. So I've changed my habits and minimized my use and will continue to NEVER carry a balance forward each month. The only reason I didn't cancel is that I don't want to ruin my FICO score. I received the August 31 letter mentioned in the article. Luckily, I can and probably will move my checking account elsewhere. It's a nuisance, but easy enough to complete before November 1. If Citi doesn't want to use my money interest free, I'm sure there's a bank out there somewhere that will. Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing.
