Reader comment on: Two More Points on the Estate Tax

Submitted by J.Johnson (United States), Sep 6, 2010 11:49

We could not agree more. We have 5000 peach trees in our orchard and certainly hope to be able to pass it along to our heirs without seeing it dismembered by taxes. All of the neighboring orchards are also family owned and multigenerational and, in addition to future threat of estate taxes, we all are suffering under ongoing real estate property taxes that increase every year to fund state and local govt. expenses that are out of control.
