Better yet, level the playing field.

Congress should amend the law so it goes both ways: Anyone who takes a paycheck from the Federal government is liable for a fine or up to five years in prison for knowingly and willfully making any materially false statement to a citizen or citizens of the US.

Meanwhile, it would be good to see the law applied to the growing number of DOJ/FBI/Executive Branch employees who have lied on the record in the ongoing coverup of this apparent coup-by-lawfare attempt against a duly elected President, since that is obviously a "matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States."
