1 if your partnership made $1 billion or 2 if you personally made $1billion. I think Obama was speaking of the later case. What is never made clear is what percent of hedge fund comp is in the fund itself. Anyway if one has a $1 billion earnings year they should diversify if they have a smart financial advisor.
