Reader comment on: Christie 'Fat Slob'

Perhaps Fut. of Captl. will allow me to make a prediction: Comcast, which is in the process of taking control of NBC Universal from General Electric, has already fired NBC-U president/CEO Jeff Zucker and hinted that other changes in personnel are under consideration. I don't think it's too much of a leap to predict that Comcast, which got the NBC network for $0 as part of its purchase of other assets actually having value, such as the Cable and Movie businesses, will also send a number of its newly acquired talking heads to the unemployment line, such as MSNBC's Schultz, Mathews, Olbermann and others who probably drive away more viewers than they attract. As for CNBC, their 'financial' anchors are, by and large, total jokes except for Rick Santelli in Chicago, who they keep trying to muzzle, apparently not realizing how much of their mid-day audience is a result of his presence. Fox now has its sights set squarely on the cable TV business-talk audience that CNBC has taken for granted and will no doubt lose to Fox unless Comcast takes drastic action to upgrade its on-air talent.

The Future of Capitalism replies:

Fired is probably a bit of an overstatement with Zucker but yes, he is leaving.
